About Denae Schmid
I have two great passions in life: the love of the great outdoors and the human body. I have devoted most of my life to white-water adventures, rafting and kayaking well over 20 different stretches of river across this country and Central America. Some of these rivers include: The Grand Canyon, Upper Gauly in WV, and Paquary in Costa Rica. Through these adventures I have also become a PSIA ski instructor and wild land firefighter.
About 12 years ago I had an experience that triggered my interest in human anatomy. Since then I have been fascinated by nutrition and overall fitness. As a hobby I studied how the right food, exercise, stretching, good thoughts, and stress free techniques can almost reverse the aging process.
I moved here in November of 2006 to continue my education. I attended Cortiva Institute of massage Therapy in Scottsdale AZ. I plan on continuing my education in sports medicine and nutrition. After my graduation I worked in a fast paced massage facility where I was able to learn a lot of great techniques however I found it hard to give full attention and thorough assessments to the individual in that environment.
It is for this reason that I have decided to open my own practice. I hope to inspire others to the love I have found in living a simply enjoyable and pain free life through our challenges.
